Working principle: Cassava/Potato starch is mainly stored in the fleshy part of the tubers. The raw material particles are relatively large, and the internal structure is not easy to be destroyed. Repeated rasping by the rasper machine can completely destroy the structure of the cassava tubers, and the tiny starch granules can be smoothly freed from the tubers to increase the rate of starch extraction. Compared with hammer mill, rasper machine more suitable for starch extraction, also have longer service life, no need to change the knifes frequently.

Working process: The material enters the rasper machine shell through the upper inlet, and is broken by the impact, shearing and grinding action of the high-speed moving saw blade. The lower part of the rotor is provided with a sieve mesh, and the material of the pulverized material smaller than the mesh size is discharged through the sieve plate. The particles larger than the mesh size are retained on the sieve plate and continue to be struck and ground by the saw blade, and finally discharged through the sieve plate.
